13.  Forever21 Harem Pants
14.  Harney & Sons Paris Tea
15.  Jordana Fabuliner in Black

*No longer available for purchase.

Why I like these:

1.This Necklace is a great statement piece, and can be worn with a plain shirt or fancier coordinating piece.

2. This is my new phone, as well as my first phone.  I LOVE it.  Except right now, it has no service, so it's basically a glorified ipod.  Oh well, as long as it has instagram.  :)

3.  Buttercup yellow nail polish is so chic!  Plus, pastels look great on your hands.  I especially like Orly's formula.

4.  I found this blazer in an outlet a few weeks ago.  Unfortunately, I had no money, and was unable to purchase it.  Ah well, it doesn't hurt to dream, right?

5.  This bronzer is one of my favorites!  It's worth the price, because you can use it year round.

6.  I already have a Penny Board, but this one is so darn cute!  Would anyone like to buy it for me?  :)

7.  This is one of my favorite purses.  After discovering my little Louis 90% off at a consignment shop, the two of us have been inseparable.

8.  Facial sunscreen is a must EVERYDAY if you don't want your face to look like the grand canyon when you're 60.  I like this one best, because it offers the best protection and gives a dewy look to skin.

9.  The perfume name just says it all.

10. Trench coats and red lipstick will always be in style.  This H&M one is budget-friendly and sturdy.

11. Anything is made better with bunnies.  Anything.  As the proud owner of 4 rabbits, this ring makes my heart sing.

12.  This lipstick will feel amazing on your lips.  I like this pale pink color because it goes with any makeup look.  Bonus:  20 SPF

13.  Harem pants are possibly one of the world's greatest inventions.  Here's why:  They're modest, chic, and super comfy.

14.  This tea is so delicious, you'll love it even if you hate tea.  I can't even describe the taste, it's just heavenly.  If you need an excuse to buy it, the adorable tin packaging is a perfectly legitimate one.  You could always use another pencil holder, right?

15.  This eyeliner was so cheap, but one tube lasted for four months of daily application.  It's so easy to apply (and wash of, for that matter) and fits conveniently in any purse size.

I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it!  Be sure to check the blog again soon, as I have many ideas underway.  Do YOU have any ideas?  Leave your suggestions in the comments below!  And don't forget to follow our instagram @4evryseason and my instagram @officialgabriellemarie

OOTD: Easter Eddition!

Happy Resurrection Day!  I hope everyone has had a wonderful day.  While waking up at 5:30 am for sunrise service at my church wasn't exactly my idea of a restful morning, I am glad that I attended the sunrise service and the delicious church breakfast which followed.

Here are some photos of what I wore:

My sandals (they're my new favorites).  I think I was jumping up and down when this was taken?  I'm not really much of a foot model.

Isn't this Japanese Maple gorgeous?!  I also love the way my hair looks in this picture.

I had way too much fun on this photo shoot!

What I wore:
♡ Dress (similar shirt and skirt available)
♡ Jacket (same shirt, but different wash than mine)
  ♡ Shoes*

*No longer for sale

Even though bunnies and chicks are cute, we shouldn't allow our attention from the cross.  I really love this verse.  What a wonderful proclamation it is!

Mark 16:6:
"6 But he said to them, 'Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.'"

Now that I've given you a Resurrection Day lecture, I'm going to go be a heathen and eat some chocolate!  Check back for another post soon!

Love, Gabrielle Marie

P.S.

Did you enjoy this Outfit Of The Day?  Let me know if you'd like to see more OOTDs!

Gabrielle's Prom Picks

Okay Ladies! Since it's officially prom season (cue collective groan from wallets) I thought I'd share with you what I'm going to be wearing to formal events this Spring!

Here are the Links to what I wore:

1. Strappy Nude Heels
2. Lace Undershirt
3. Set of 3 Metallic Sparkle Headbands
4. Navy Blue Clutch (also worn here!)
5. Brocade Dress
6. Pink and Gold Nail Polish
7. Shorts Underneath (Not Pictured)

My sweet friend Kate (left) and me at one of the formals I attended this Spring.  Isn't she adorable?!  I swear, we didn't plan to match!
Since I wanted to look cute while preserving my modesty, I chose to wear a matching undershirt beneath my strapless dress.  I actually prefer wearing strapless dresses with cute shirts or jackets to formal events, because strapless dresses tend to be less revealing up top, as well as having more structure and support.  Because this most dresses are a bit short on me (#tallgirlprobs) and I love to swing and ballroom dance, I wore a pair of black short underneath.

I know that some of the things I wore are a bit pricey (I managed to get everything but the dress on sale), but I'm planning to wear this to four "proms" altogether. With that considered, I'd call this ensemble a rather good deal!

As I was primping before the event, a Bible verse taped to my mirror caught my eye.
For those of you who don't read gold glitter (I have way too much fun making these things), it reads: "Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight." - 1 Peter 3:3-4

I tried to keep these verses in mind as I dined and danced the night away.  I had a wonderful evening!  Perhaps because I wasn't focused on how I looked?

Here's a fun song to listen to while you're getting ready for your big event.  What a positive message it carries!  And remember, whatever you may be wearing, your outfit isn't complete without a smile!

I hope this gave you some prom inspiration!  Comment below and tell me what YOU are planning to wear to your formal events this Spring!

Love,
Gabrielle Marie

Who am I in Christ?  Day 1:  A Peculiar People

Image via Blogging About the Word

''But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:''

-1 Peter 2:9

Today, [New Year's day] 1 Peter 2:9 spoke to me in a new way.  I've heard many a sermon based on the "chosen generation" bit of this verse, but what about being a "peculiar people"?  In John 17:14-16, we are told to be in the world, not of the world.  My prayer for all of you today is that you are peculiar to the world, standing upright and loving one another in the name of God.

Want to dig deeper?  Check out Titus 2:14, 1 John 2:15-17, and 1 Peter 2:11

Happy New Year everyone!  I love and pray for each and every one of you in this upcoming year.  May God make 2014 a season of blessings!

An Outfit for Every Christmas Party Day 1: Gift Exchange

Hello!  This week, in lieu of my regularly themed posts,  I have created a four-day post series displaying Christmas style inspiration

For this first post for this series, I put together a look for a school party or gift exchange.  This would look best on the young or young at heart.

Time taken for makeup: 10 minutes
Time taken for hair: 15 minutes

Total time taken for this look: 25 minutes

Used in this makeup look:  Naked Basics Palette, Frizz-ease Travel Size Hair Spray, Bamboo Wear Bronzer, Mineral Glow Powder - Translucent Pearl, Nail Polish - Watermelon, I See Blue Mascara (Unavailable, but similar one here.),  Color Tattoo - Tenacious Teal, Baby Lips Electro - Pink Shock, Eye Primer and Liner Sealer, and Studio Eyebrow Kit.

My Sonia Kashuk brushes and Mary Kay Curler aren't available for sale anymore, but my smudger brush was from this Eco Tools set.
Pucker up, buttercup!  I put my Baby Lips on first, because it's the brightest bit of the tutorial and I needed to balance the rest of the look with the bold look.

Maybelline can really multitask!  I also used my Baby Lips as a blush by drawing three diagonal lines from below my eye going toward my ear.

After drawing on my "blush"  I blended it up and toward my ear in small circles.

Next, I lightly contoured my face with a semi-matte bronzer a few shades darker than my skintone in a "3" shape from my temple, to my cheek hollows, to my jawline on either side of my face.  Afterwards I heavily highlighted my upper cheekbones, and lightly highlighted my forehead, chin, and the bridge of my nose.
Next I lightly filled in my brows with powder, highlighted the inner corners and underside of the arch of my brow, applied eye primer, and lightly contoured the crease of my eyelid with a chocolate colored matte brown as shown in the first of the three photos below.

I then took my elf  liner sealer, dipped it into my blue Maybelline color tattoo pot, and painted it on as though it was liquid eyeliner in a thick wing shape.

I would personally consider this the most important step for any makeup look--curling my eyelashes.

Last but not least, I applied blue mascara liberally to my top and bottom lashes.
Done!  Now on to hair.

First, I curled my hair with my Bed Head Wave-er.
Next, I added a fun floral bow headband, to keep my bangs back and add a little ''something'' to my hair.
To Finish, I sprayed my hair with some John Frieda hairspray.

Now on to my outfit!

I always carry a purse.  This quilted navy clutch doubles as a crossboy and will be wearable long after the holidays are through.

I absolutely adore my fair isle sweather (it's from American Eagle in 2012, but I can't find it for sale anywhere, sorry).  I'm also wearing Capezio Transition tights, denim hot pants, and Kate Spade glitter Keds.  Since I don't own very many pairs of pants, I like to wear tights and shorts in the colder months of the year occasionally to mix things up.

White elephant gift exchanges are so fun.  In this Christmas season alone, I've collected one Hello Kitty alarm clock, a bag of gummy bears, and a dog pen from such exchanges.  I often hear the phrase chided to children "It is better to give than receive."  That's not necessarily true.

John 3:16  Proclaims, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, the whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

God is the only one who can grant eternal life.  With this in mind, when it really counts it's better to receive than give.

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." -Romans 10:9

Romans 10:9 presents the only way to everlasting life, an act of simply believing that Christ is the savior of all and making a confession if faith.  Although following God may not always be easy, receiving His gift really is that simple.
